Pietro Russo was trained in painting and ceramics, before he entered the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, where he studied scenography and began his exploration in the field of interior and product design.
He continued his work in Berlin as a set and interior designer whilst collaborating with several galleries exhibiting limited edition objects. In 2001, he moved to Milan where he began a long collaboration with the Lissoni Associati, working on product and interior design for companies such as Alessi, Baxter, Cappelini, Benetton, Kartell, Techno Spa, Kerakoll design gallery.
In 2010 he formed his own practice focusing on interior and product design, with an emphasis on traditional craft. Through this work, he creates unique objects that have a distinct narrative and strong relationship to their space. His objects are self-produced and are the result of collaboration with exclusive Italian artisans.
